Boy oh boy is little mama bird busy these days! And I am not getting a thing done around my house, because I just stand by my window and watch the drama unfold! These 5 little birds don't stop eating, and Dad, you were right....(not that I ever doubted you) there seems to be a mockingbird in the bunch and he is really starting to get on my nerves. He (he MUST be a boy, girls can't act like this!) hasn't closed his mouth begging for food since he has been able to open his mouth. The mama will put a big ole bug in his mouth and he swallows, and still wants more. His mouth seems to be double the size of the other birdies, and his neck is longer, so he is the one who gets a lot of the food. It is fascinating to watch these 5 birds jockey for the highest spot in the nest, and I have even gasped several times, thinking that one of them was going to fall out. I have started yelling at the mom to be fair in divying out the food, but, well, first time moms just don't listen to advice sometimes, do they?
Also, poor mama doesn't even get to rest on her nest anymore because the birds are there. She just kind of squats on the side of the nest to rest. Ahhhh, motherhood.
I realize that my life seems to be centered around these birds, and believe me when I say that I know that I need a life. Summer is coming, and maybe then, right? Although, I did just finish my classes this last week and I got an A in business, B+ (not bad for not doing any weekly assignments since moving) in communications, and an A in my travel class (easy.)

I would love to have birds hatching and growing right outside my window! Fun, fun! I like the look of J.T. as he watches your obsession. I miss you guys!
I think that's awesome! I wish I had that experience too.
Wow! That is all I can say! I think I would be obsessed too watching those little birdies! Seriously, how many people get to see this? The nests are usually high up in a tree! Thanks for sharing...really! What an opportunity! Love ya!
