Our Benny Boo moved to Florida on Monday. We have had some very mixed feelings about this, but so far all has been okay. He has been very busy meeting his new co-workers and employees, and has already fallen in love with Florida.
Meanwhile, back at the ranch we are preparing to move the rest of the family by October. Should be good times getting this house ready to move as a single parent! Poor JT asks "Where Dad at?" every morning, and everytime we come home from running errands. He can't wrap his brain around "Dad moved to Florida, son."
The kids have been great, we have kind of been in training for this time for the last 6 months or so. Ben has been gone a LOT lately, and so we have kind of gotten used to functioning whithout his daily presence, but there was always just a couple days to go until we saw him again. Now we are talking 30 days or so....a little long for little kids to grasp. DB claims he is glad to not be getting um-num-shebas for a while, but I think he secretly misses it.
I've got several rent-a-husbands and friends on call here in Jackson, so we are quite well taken care of. Ben's roommate in FL is a quiet man who apparently is quite tall, so he wasn't too shaken by Ben's size. He doesn't use air conditioning, just opens the windows.....only time will tell how Ben handles that. It was a constant battle over our a/c at home, hopefully he will be nicer to his new roomie. His roommate also goes to the same church we will be going to, so hopefully they will be fast friends. I think that Ben has been and will be quite busy getting settled so he probably won't have too much time to really get lonely, but I added some songs for you anyway.

Wow! So you guys are really gonna be Floridians, eh? Sorry you have to be "single" for so long. That reminds me of being without Jarom for a month before we moved to Utah. Not fun! I'm interested to hear how it all goes! Wish I were there to help.
Dang it, Amanda! Stop making all of us look bad. ;) I would fall apart, but I know you won't. You guys are too brave/strong for your own good. And I can't help but to be jealous of your adventureous spirit. Sounds like you guys are moving up in the world and down to Florida! Keep us posted! :)
Wow! Can't you all stay put for just a little while???? It seems like I just found out you all were going to be there and here you are moving again. AND, further away! What's the matter with that company? Can't they find something for Ben to do here? Those kids are growing up so fast and I can't keep up. Be safe and good luck in Florida!
