It is friggin' hot. Pardon my French, but really. It is mind numbing hot. Heat indexes of 116? That means that it is actually 95 degrees or so, but when you add 80% humidity....
JT just about starts crying when I open the front door because he can just sense the heat from the front room.
DB comes home dripping wet from his bus ride home from school.
The boys don't ask to go outside anymore.
The grass significantly slowed in growing....even IT doesn't want to do anything in this heat!!!
As soon as any outside door is opened at our house you immediately hear "SHUT THE DOOR!!!" from somewhere in the house.
WE are DREADING our next utility bill.
I have decided that 80 degrees in the house isn't so bad after all.
After getting DB from the bus stop yesterday, when we came in the house JT said it was cold in here!
I am so grateful for air conditioning. I can't even begin to think how I would be feeling, trying to protect my kiddos from something that couldn't be prevented. My heart just aches thinking about what people suffered through with heat like this, and how moms had to just watch their babies overheat in this crazy weather. It sounds so silly sometimes to talk about being grateful for stuff that may really seem like an extravagance, but I truly am.
So, I added music that can truly convey how we feel about this Cruel Cruel Summer. Enjoy!

Would you rather have it be hot or cold? I guess your winter's aren't as bad as NE, but you should still get windchills goin' on. Anyway...I hear ya about the heat and humidity...it is unbearable!!
Sounds like Houston. :)
Well we got heat here too, but thankfully, we are dry as a bone. That sticky heat is icky. Love the new tunes. :)
Sounds absolutely miserable! You should just move back here. At least the heat is dry! Miss you!
