Croup is the medical code word for CRAP
Hey there, this is going to be one of those venting posts, so reader beware. JT was diagnosed with croup in the emergency room on Tuesday night at about midnight. From then on, we have just been having a BALL with the poor kid wandering around wondering why mommy won't make his cough better. The best part is, there is not much we can do for him except make him sleep outside. Although, just so there is no confusion, I have not resorted to that......YET. So I have decided that the origin of the medical term "croup" is from the english noun "crap" meaning nonsense or junk. The only problem was that doctors didn't feel comfortable diagnosing their patients with "crap" (they didn't feel it sounded smart enough) so they just changed out the vowels and voila! Croup. So now, when they say "Yup, he's got a croupy cough alright" well, you get the idea. JT sure picked a CROUPY time to get sick, if you ask me. D-Day is on Tuesday so far, maybe Wednesday. Good times.
